Budapest has plenty to see and do at any time of year. The city almost never sleeps, and it’s always bustling, full of life and events. But it’s easy to get lost in all the activity. That’s why we’ve put together a list of spring activities you won’t want to miss in the next few months!

Garden and terrace opening

Spring brings not only good weather, but also the opening of terraces and gardens. Luckily, the best spots in the capital all have at least one of these. Original Tours Budapest’s pub crawls include some of the most popular bars and nightclubs, which also open their wonderful terraces in spring:

II. GinFest Budapest

Drinks of all kinds have always been very popular in Hungary, so it’s not a surprise that some drinks have their own festival in Budapest. Gin really started to take off in the capital a few years ago, and since then it has only attracted more and more people. As a result, the 1st GinFest was held in 2021 and, unsurprisingly, was a resounding success. If you like gin and tonic, then no question, this is the perfect place for you!

Make a friend in Budapest

If you are coming from abroad and you don’t speak Hungarian very well, or at all, the Blabla Language Exchange’s Make a firend in Budapest event will be a great experience for you. There’s nothing better than making new friends over a glass of beer, even if you’re on the other side of the world. And the Make a friend event aims to do just that. If you’re wondering how many different languages you can speak at a table, you can find out here!

VII. Corvin Season Opening Beer Festival

We probably don’t even need to explain why a beer festival is such a good programme for spring time. And the Corvin Season Opening Beer Festival is one of the best. Over 20 exhibitors, hundreds of beers from all over the world, heavenly food and the best atmosphere imaginable. The Corvin promenade is full of life and drinks.

I. Downtown Wine & Champagne Festival

And this time, summer will be brought to Budapest by the Downtown Wine and Champagne Festival, which will be held for the first time in the capital this year, because if it’s summer, then it’s wine, if it’s wine, then it’s a festival! The open-air event is guaranteed to bring colour to the heart of the city centre and will guarantee a good atmosphere for 5 days. It’s not to be missed!
